ChangeLog
---------
2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Vermishyan Dom version 1.400
- Figures reviewed one by one. 0 is slightly rounder; 1 has a short
  horizontal flag; 6 and 9 have shorter terminals; 7 has a straight leg;
  8 has a smaller upper bowl. 2, 3, 4 and 5 are unchanged.
- The tabular figures (tnum) follow the new shapes. The old-style
figures, numerators, denominators, superiors, inferiors and prebuilt
fractions keep the Space Grotesk shapes.

2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Vermishyan Dom version 1.310
- Cyrillic I and short I (capital and small) redrawn as the mirror of the
new Latin N: the diagonal runs from corner to corner.

2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Vermishyan Dom version 1.300
- Cyrillic Ka and Em (capital and small) now follow the Latin K, M and k:
narrower arms, diagonals from corner to corner.
- OE, Lslash, tbar and kgreenlandic redrawn to match the new O, L, t
  and k.
- Kerning revised for the letters whose sides changed. For K, k, L, a,
G, R, Q, C and O each pair was measured against the same pair in
Space Grotesk and adjusted (by at most 24 units) so that the white
space between the letters stays what it was there; about 220 class
pairs changed. f and t now take the left-side kerning of the letters
with a tall stem (h, l). R with the diagonal leg has a tighter right
  sidebearing.

2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Vermishyan Dom version 1.210
- f and t: the crossbar again crosses the stem, with a short stub on the
left instead of the full left half. Ligatures and accented letters
built from f and t follow.

2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Renamed from Vermishyan Detstvo to Vermishyan Dom.
No outline changes; earlier entries below describe the same design under
its new name.

2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Vermishyan Dom version 1.200
- Latin letters reviewed one by one and redrawn where chosen. This
replaces the Latin changes of version 1.100.
B, D, J: the forms without slab serifs (formerly stylistic set ss04)
are now the default, together with their accented and related letters.
C, O: rounder and wider (45% of the way to a near circle).
G: arcs taken from the new O, no spur, raised bar, straighter lower
right. Q: bowl of the new O, diagonal tail through the lower right.
F: shorter middle bar. K, k: narrower arms. L: narrower.
M, N: diagonals run from corner to corner, without the junction steps.
R: straight diagonal leg. S, s: shorter terminals.
  V, W, v, w: narrower vertices.
a: no exit stroke. f, t: crossbar on the right side only.
g: tail with a larger curve. y: the diagonal form (formerly ss03) is
now the default, together with its accented letters.
- Accented letters built from the changed letters follow them; accents
and mark anchors are re-centred where the letter width changed.
- The f and t ligatures (fi, fl, ff, ffi, ffl, tt and related) are now
built from the new f and t side by side.
- Not yet redrawn to match: the single glyphs OE, IJ-like digraph
outlines other than those in ss04, Lslash, tbar, kgreenlandic.
- Cyrillic is unchanged from 1.000 except that Cyrillic O, C and a share
their shape with Latin O, C and a.

2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Vermishyan Dom version 1.100
- The shape changes made for the Cyrillic letters are carried over to
  their Latin counterparts:
O and C are rounder and wider (45% of the way from the Space Grotesk
  oval to a near circle); G and Q are redrawn to match them;
a loses its exit stroke; y becomes a diagonal form with a straight
tail and a flat foot (the alternate y of ss03 is unchanged).
- Accented letters built from O, C, G, a and y follow the new shapes;
their accents and mark anchors are re-centred.
- Cyrillic O, C, a and u are again exact copies of Latin O, C, a and y.

2026-10-06 (Vage Vermishyan) Vermishyan Dom version 1.000
- Renamed from Space Grotesk to Vermishyan Dom.
- Added the Russian Cyrillic alphabet (U+0410-U+044F, U+0401, U+0451),
66 letters, drawn in both masters (Light and Bold) from the shapes of
  the Latin letters and figures.
- Cyrillic letters added to the kerning classes of the Latin letters with
matching sides; 'cyrl' script added to the layout tables.
- Stylistic set ss01 (single-storey a) extended to Cyrillic a; ss03 gives
  an alternate Cyrillic u.
- Added a SemiBold (600) named instance and static font.
- Removed the digital signature (DSIG), which the changes invalidate.

All other Latin outlines, metrics and kerning are unchanged from
Space Grotesk 2.000.
